Wilderness First Aid – LXABCDE

£35.00

Life-Saving Priorities and Risk-Aware Decision-Making in the Outdoors

Join Torbjörn Selin, seasoned outdoor and survival instructor, founder and head instructor of All In Nature Sweden, for a focused and practical Wilderness First Aid workshop using the LXABCDE approach. With over 25 years of experience training thousands of participants in survival, crisis management and first aid — including military, civilian and professional groups — Torbjörn brings clarity, confidence and real-world relevance to your learning.

This 90-minute session zeroes in on the life-saving priorities in remote and austere environments where professional medical support is delayed or unavailable. You will be guided through a structured and evidence-based process for recognising and managing life-threatening conditions under pressure.

Participants will gain:

  • A risk-aware, life-saving mindset tailored for wilderness contexts
  • Practical frameworks for rapid scene assessment and safe decision-making
  • Techniques for controlling catastrophic bleeding and securing a compromised airway
  • Approaches to breathing assessment, shock recognition and management of severe injuries
  • Strategies for protection from exposure and environmental threats when help is delayed

The workshop balances concise, scenario-based theory with interactive discussion and practical framing that prepares you for real wilderness incidents. This is designed for both outdoor enthusiasts and anyone who wants effective action and confidence when it matters most.
