Swedish Nature & the Right of Public Access | FREE

Join us for a free demonstration where we tell the story of Swedish nature and the Right of Public Access – Allemansrätten, a unique legal and cultural framework that allows people to hike, paddle, camp, and travel through nature in a way that is almost unheard of in many other countries.

During this 30-minute session, we will explain what Allemansrätten is, how it works in practice, and why it makes Sweden such an attractive destination for wild camping, canoe expeditions, and long-distance hiking. You will learn what is allowed, what is expected of visitors, and how this balance of freedom and responsibility has shaped Swedish outdoor culture.

We will talk about:

  • Wild camping in Sweden – where and how you can legally camp for the night
  • Hiking across large landscapes without permits or fees
  • Canoeing on lakes, rivers, and along the coastline
  • How visitors from the UK can explore Sweden respectfully and confidently
  • Why trust and responsibility are at the heart of Scandinavian outdoor life

This session is perfect for bushcrafters, hikers, paddlers, and outdoor enthusiasts who are curious about travelling freely in nature and who may be considering Sweden as a future destination for outdoor adventures.

No equipment needed, no prior knowledge required — just an interest in nature and the outdoors.
