Description

Please Note

  • During this workshop students will be handling very sharp pieces of natural flint so proper Sharps (Knife) discipline must be observed at all times.
  • Students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • This Wild Workshop teaches the Advanced use of Traditional ‘Flint& Steel’ Fire Lighting with Fire-Steels that are made from high-carbon steel, that require the use a piece of ‘Natural Flint’ or ‘Chert’ to create the sparks.
  • This Workshop is NOT intended for use with the “Modern” Ferrocerium Fire-Steel rods that are struck with the back of a knife or similar item, however, it will still prove incredibly useful for Ferro Striker aficionados. If you can use a Traditional “Flint & Steel” Striker, Ferro Rods are just a breeze.
